YES! Wimbledon Championship! I beat Echizen. 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. Looks like the scores evened out a little, Echizen. 5-4 now. I'll be looking forward to playing you again. I'll see you tonight at Alain Ducasse.
Atobe, I look forward to paying for once. Bunta, I'll be paying you a visit in about a week.

Thank you everybody, for all of your support. I can't tell you how much it means to me. I'm constantly overwhelmed by how you all honour me and place your faith in me.

Don't be stupid. You took over leadership for me when I was otherwise incapacitated, and you've stood with me and my decisions constantly. I needed that, don't you see? Every leader needs someone who will follow, or else they lose their power. If no one will follow, what is the good of shouting your orders?

Perhaps not, but I suppose I was a tad too assertive at times.

I only did what I had to. If I had been a better leader, we wouldn't have lost to Seigaku.

Though I'm very happy to hear that I was needed. I'm appreciative that you needed me.

And we were young. If you were too assertive back then, it can all be blamed on the folly of youth.

Above all...You're my oldest friend. As horrible as I am with staying in contact and expressing myself, know that you hold a place in my life that cannot be replaced.

I lost to Seigaku as well, don't you forget that. You won your match at Nationals against Tezuka. And yes, you underestimated Echizen, but didn't we all? Didn't I? You aren't a natural leader Genichirou, but what you did, standing up to the role, in my place, was awfully courageous. You could have made better decisions, but we were 14 and 15. No one makes perfect decisions at that age! Not even me, I'm afraid to say.

I'll always need you, Genichirou. You're my one of my best friends and oldest friends and ultimately, you're like my brother. You'll never be replaced in my heart either....Look at me, I'm crying now. I'm such a sap.

And I'm still assertive now....I should try to change that. New Years Resolution perhaps?

I've missed you as well. You'd better prepare for flying glomps on Tuesday. I imagine that I'l be quite a mess when I see you and Renji again.

I just can't stop! I have a dinner with Echizen tonight, I have to stop or else I'll look ridiculous.

I suppose it has. But Echizen's mistakes also won me Wimbledon. But thank you.

We'll mock each other anyway, that's how all of our meetings that don't involve tennis go. I just don't want it to be for crying.

It's not so much enjoyment, but satisfaction. We're both rather bitter about our losses to the other so we take out our anger in sniping at each other, rather than fighting. But sometimes it can be quite fun, yes ^_^

I think that's rather because we're both unfailingly stubborn, as well.
